Hunting the Dark

Saturday Dec 20, 2075.  Freezing cold, sub zero. 

The team make a few calls for gear, then leave The Last Station in the Barrens. Going to Jaros, they pick up an ammo order there. Then go to Miranda's, where they buy grenades, and get the RoadMaster fixed up. Mid work, the Americar, which had been called for a pickup, pings them and says it is stuck. They pay Miranda to go get it out of a ditch with her armor tow-truck, RoadMaster with gun turrets. She's back a half hour later, and the team waits in VR doing training exercises. She finishes late that night.

Sun Dec 21, 2075. Full Moon Solstice. Blizzard, very bad.

Having been dropped off at the Institute by Grelig the night before, Ullr goes to his Blot. The team rest, and prep up and get a drone sent out from a contract of Cypher's to find the RFID chip.

Mon Dec 22, 2075. Medium snow, cold.

Team finish some training, and at 1601 they are interrupted by Syndron, Cypher's contact said that the drones went back out late night before, and after Blizzard were able to find the RFID.  Located N or St. Croix in WI, at 45.474171N, -92.623565W.

Then at 1601, Cyphers Sprite reports that a web site has gone up on a social network Host, that has a page of someone he might know: 'UllrIsGettingMurdered'. Not a clever name, but it has a video of Ullr with a bag on his head, and a suicide vest armed to blow at midnight, with an address. That's all the site has, no demands, no nothing.  Everyone is a bit puzzled, but agree it is a trap.  They call the Institue, and talk to Gode Karl, he sends them to talk to Bear Sark Sinason, who they've worked with in the past, and all agree to meet her at The Barn, the cowboy bar in Fireman territory, they last met at.  Cypher has a sprite hack the node and erase the page. The question is will they get to him before the cops, because this is a public page. Now it seems they have some time. They set up and surround it, using drones and human recon to check it out. They run off a bum, who they're interested in, but in the end, they just search the place. They find him, and he is alone. But after Cypher kills the wireless on the devices, after Grelig thinks that shouldn't set off the bomb, they go in. Four smaller ICE spirits appear, and combat ensues, in which the only one hurt is Frank and he just takes a little stun. They're pleasantly surprised, and mop up, disable the bomb, and get Ullr out. They burn the building and leave Fireman territory.

Tues, Dec 23, 2075. Cold.

The following morning, a Mitsubishi Nightsky, is parked outside and 5 ARO's are broadcasting onboard. One says "Mafia Consiglieri", and the others are "Bigs", "Thumbs", "Cha Cha", and "LMG".  LMG is the big time Mafia hitter in MSP.  They talk to the Mafia and are given an offer they can't refuse. Bring 100 Stormcrows, and we'll pay you 600 NY to cover our needs, by the end of the year, or we'll consider it war.  The mafia want a part of the monopoly the group has set up, but they're willing to pay for it, as they say the group are the only hunters in MSP that can get Stormcrows.  Cypher says they don't have a monopoly, but the Mafia think he's lying, the offer stands, more of a threat really.
