Poor little Albert mustn't be late

So he hurried to dinner and sat on his plate

Then poor little Albert was seasoned and stewed

Then poor misfortunate Albert was ate

 

Poor little Sarah lay in her bed

Whilst visions of horror lurked in her head

Shutting her eyes could not make them leave

And when she woke poor Sarah was dead

 

Poor little Steven huddled in fear

As the Thing in the closet began to draw near

He drew in his breath to let out a scream

But without his head there was nothing to hear
