Synopsis:

Asgard is at war.

The Skaven Apocalypse, an invading horde of rat like filth has conquered most of the surface regions of the Asgardian planetoid. Only Jotunheim, home of the giants, remains unscarred by war.

Thor has gathered the Avengers and the Fantastic Four to assist Asgard but the Rainbow Bridge, the only way for mortals to enter Asgard, has been destroyed. But the Thunder God will not be denied. Using the great power of Mjolnir and aided by the sorcery of Doctor Strange the two are able to carve a portal through time and space, a portal large enough for Thor to bring three mortals to the realm of the Norse Gods.

But what sort of power must the Skaven posses to make war on the gods?

Thor believes there to be a mad Loki plot behind the invaders. Dr. Strange believes the Skaven to be an escaped horde from the Atrocity Realm. Namor believes the Skaven to be a vanguard for a much larger force set to invade Earth.

But they're all wrong.

It's much worse.
