First, a brief note on the nature of this Diversion.
Authors Mr. Soles and Miss Vega bill their estimable creation, Unhallowed Metropolis, as TESLAPUNK, although discerning readers will note a marked family resemblance to the subject of more quotidian labels, such as VICTORIANA, STEAMPUNK, and Alternate History.
The squeamish, and those of the Gentler Sex, may feel it is incumbent upon us to warn our Readers that this Diversion also bears a certain resemblance to what the pennydreadfuls might refer to as as Grotesquerie, a Tale of Terror, the Supernatural, or the Sublime. This story deals with a number of unpleasant subjects, including zombification, venerie, the labor process, and vampirism.
It is definitely a Weird Tale.
