Bawn

The Bawn includes two large office buildings taking up most of a block, and a large 1 block by 2 block section of old growth oak trees that is ignored by mortals. The office buildings have impressive marbled entryways and halls, underground training hall, and two 20th floor meeting rooms that can house over 200. The Sept provides lofts for its Garou, as well as pagers and cell phones. Sept members may choose to be employed in one of the Sept’s many businesses, or can choose to work on their own.

History

The Twin Sept has been around for decades, but grew to prominence as their Ritemaster (Ghost in the Shell) deciphered two prophecies that spoke of the end of times and the coming of the Chosen One who would lead the Garou in the Apocalypse. They found the mother of this child 18 years ago and rescued the child from a nexus crawler known as the Omega Crawler. That night a second Totem Spirit arrived, a spirit of Destiny, and the Caern grew to a rank 6 Caern

Henry Farsight took over as Sept Leader that night and has ruled the Caern ever since. The Sept numbers have swelled with kinfolk numbering near a hundred. The Twin Sept has many strong political alliances, including an alliance with local vampire tribes. The Sept attracted a lot of Wyrm attention after the Totem spirit of Destiny arrived and they repelled several Wyrm incursions. However, all of them were repelled swiftly due to solid defensive planning.

The Sept has come under threat more from Garou than the Wyrm in the last two decades. The Silver Fangs applied great political pressure to have the Chosen One moved to one of their Septs to be raised. This culminated in a stand-off of Garou armies that was eventually settled with diplomacy, though tensions remain. Several packs of Red Talons attacked the Sept one night to “rescue” the Chosen One. The Red Talons were killed, but not before half of the Sept complex was destroyed through powerful Gifts and a stand of old growth oaks now stands in its place.

An elaborate assassination and kidnapping plot by the Shadow Lords was narrowly thwarted just five years ago, and since then no Shadow Lords have been allowed in the Sept. This hasn’t kept them from trying, but thus far none have succeeded in fooling Ghost in the Shell and the Totem Spirit of Information.

The Sept has strong allies with the Glasswalkers, of course, and Bone Gnawers. The Fianna are considered the Sept’s strongest allies, though some theorize the Fianna are just helping to irritate the Get of Fenris, who also don’t approve of the Chosen One being raised by Glasswalkers.

Over the last year the Twin Sept has lost three rank 5 Ahrouns in various battles with the Wyrm, leaving the Sept with no elder Ahrouns. Over the last month Fae started showing up at the Sept here and there, until now there are over a dozen of them. They give vague and conflicting answers about why they showed up, most often talking about either a big party or a big hunt. The Fianna welcomed them with open arms, gave them places to crash, and party with them nightly. The Sept Leader had little choice but to officially welcome them.

Update

The legendary Theurge, Ghost in the Shell was killed in a challege brought forth by Aleister St. James, who accused her of being irredeemably Wyrm-tainted. It is known that the Weaver herself stepped in during the challenge to aid Aleister.

Shortly afterward the Chosen One's pack, Tooth and Claw, met with King Arthur of the Silver Fangs, and offered the Chosen One his own Sept. William accepted and left the Twin Sept with his pack to reclaim a corrupted Cairn in rural Nebraska. Once his Caern was claimed, the Destiny Totem spirit left the Twin Sept for the Chosen One's new Sept, Camping the Apocalypse. The Twin Sept fell back to a rank 5 Caern, forever weakened.
