Synopsis:

New Yoth Order is a sequel to Yoth Candy run at a previous JonCon.

Game Intro Sheet:

Last October a new drug hit the streets of Buffalo, NY. Rumors flying through the press described it as a hallucinogenic with an incredibly high addition rate and severe side effects. Initial investigation indicated that the drug known on the streets only as Yoth Candy was a completely new variety not derived from another drug, and that it was spreading like wildfire.

Amidst great publicity, Governor Beiss assembled a task force charged with discovering the exact scope of the drug’s effects, finding the identity of the group that manufactured or imported it, and obtaining a sample. Generally the press published favorable views of the task force, applauding the Governor for taking the matter seriously and taking such swift action.

However.

The task force was a complete failure, and scandalized the Governor. They were found at the scene of several unexplained and brutal murders but they did not comment on their involvement and refused to stay for questioning, they got in a shootout with a local gang, and they lost the only sample of the drug they procured.

In the months after the scandal, Yoth Candy slowly died in popularity and soon disappeared from the streets. There was some speculation about the disappearance, but the press was soon distracted by other disasters and greater scandals.

Now, one year later, rumors have surfaced that Yoth Candy is once again available on the streets, and its distributors are poised to reclaim the massive population that had sampled the drug. But there are also other rumors, or scarred figures gathering in the darkness of Buffalo’s streets, whispering the secrets of the new Yoth Cult. These rumors in particular have made it into the papers, which have run a few stories on the dark figures haunting Buffalo’s nights.

Governor Beiss has decided to assemble a new task force to investigate these rumors. This is you. You are to discover whether or not Yoth Candy is again available. If it is you need to find out who is dealing it, who’s importing or manufacturing it, and you must get a sample. Furthermore you are supposed to look into the rumors of this Yoth Cult and discover what connection, if any, they have with Yoth Candy. You are also supposed to find out what the purpose of this new cult it. The press has suggested that they’re some kind of satanic witch cult and this is also something that the Governor wants put to rest.

Mr. Ian Masters, one of the Governor’s aids, is in charge of the task force and will be briefing you when you arrive in buffalo. Before any of you were allowed into the group you were made to sign non-disclosure agreements stating that you would not divulge any information relating to your investigation to the press, your friends, or family. The Governor’s office does not want a repeat of last year’s fiasco.

I know I played Andrew Wong in one of these but can't remember if it was both.

The second game (New Yoth Order) had all new characters except for one returning -- only I don't remember which the returning character was.

I'm thinking maybe I played Wong the second time but the first time I played some sort of internal affairs character, but it's sort of hazy now. Maybe that was someone else and I I've just made their narrative my own.

I know in the first game you played the internal affairs character who had kids of his own and kind of bonded with 'Lil Jo... or someone.
