2nd Altruiak
Change of plans. Og knocks him out, Delak makes a ruling and so we send him back with Og to be put; as a foreign enemy of M-D.
We continue down the road looking for tracks or trails of the wagon.
Thar finds a side path, but thats not it.
Arust finds wagon parts, going right way.
Brenn drops back, and stealths behind us, watching the rear.
Straelyn, found Large and Medium tracks.
Flick climbed a tree to assist Thar.
Thar finds 3 well attended graves to Corellon, sort of new.
Ryvv cuts to the side and Stealths to give us some protection.
Straelyn sees 6 medium, and 11 large tracks, 1 huge track.
Flick climbs another tree, and assists.
Thar gives out some info on the tracks. We recognize there are 3 Storm Stone Furies (throw thunderstones), 4 War Trolls Straelyn ID's, 4 Ogre Bludgeoners bottom rung warriors. Huge thing is an Earth Titan, he is immune to petrification and has the ability to destroy the earth around him.
Arust tells that every so often, a seventh set of medium set of tracks show up near the Earth Titan then goes away.
I fail to assist.
Ryvv and Brenn covers our tracks.
Straelyn spots nothing. Arust follows more tracks.
Delak does a knowledge nature, spotting the enemy.
We engage them in the narrows of the thick forest caused by their titan making a path as we come up on their trail. Arust unleashes a volley of arrows and drops one, wounding three or four and dazing them. Ryvv and Thar pinch them from the sides; Thar keeps them on the ground, and Ryvv blasts them with prismatic sprays, beams and blasts. Brenn puts up a wall and hinders their every move. The ogres are knocked down and killed quickly before they even enter the battle. The trolls keep regenerating until they are burned, even if dropped. The titan never moves from his square and is slowly wittled down. Thar is bloodied but Straelyn and I heal him back up.
We kill all of them, except the Titan that Ryvv brought down mercifully, and Arust and Thar chase off after the last Stone Fury. The diplomat explains that they were taken prisoner and moved some number of miles, and then would stay in one place for many nights. He described them as orderly and well disciplined, these weren't chaotic. A robed figure showed up some nights and they would move on. The diplomat speaks giant and the robed person was not referred to as Destruction.
The sun sets shortly after the battle concludes.
Strealyn goes to Arust and Thar to talk to the Stone Fury guy, but it is dumb and won't surrender or believe their lies. So Arust kills it. While they're gone, the Titan starts sinking into the ground, a few of us notice and start a discourse, but the Titan won't talk or believe us, so he too moves to attack and Ryvv drops him. Sadly it was death by Hero, though we offered to protect him and clear his tracks.
We move a mile off and make camp under Arust's hunters flint.
3rd Altruiak
We return to Kingsford with the Diplomat. He thanks us for the escort there, and the villagers are glad to see he has made it, and are again enamored by us. We say we have other pressing business and must be going. From there we head straight to the missing town (x'd out). Thar has been there before, and leads us there straightaway.
As we get closer Thar and Arust are more concerned, until we're within the last mile and its clear there are no fields. The whole village and surrounding fields have reverted to pristine oldgrowth, as it no elven settlement ever was here. The arcanists find no trace of magic. We spend the rest of the day and the night searching for signs of what transpired (no telling what happens under a starlit sky).
4th Altruiak
As the sun rises there is no sign of any village so we set off to the next closest. Arust has communicated with Og and people in Myth Drannor remember the village. The last diplomat was sent around midsummer, and it was there then. Once we're arrived in the next village, we find they've traded with Xvillage as recently as the preceeding fall. They are concerned it is gone. Wild gossiping follows. We try to allay their fears, but one can only do so much.
10th Altruiak
We returned to Myth Drannor the day before after a whirlwind tour of the twelve surrounding villages from Xvillage. All the villages there and have had contact no later than fall. They are all concerned. Amuril is concerned, and says the sages will take this over after we've done some research and searching back in the city to no avail. Arust buys more arrows.
11th Altruiak
Tharivol and Arust head down to scout the sink hole. The group splits up around the city. I mend fences and talk about goings on. I hit a tavern one night but find no real work. That night Arust messages back that we're to come down to the sinkhole with spelunking gear. He chuckles when he says spelunking.
12th Altruiak
The remainder of the company arrive at the sink hole bearing extra gear for the underground work.
