Midwinter DR 1479

The day between Hammer and Alturiak, we feast as the spring thaw approaches.

We meet Flick, a tall (4 ft) gnome whose quite a shmoozer and outgoing. Ryvven is of course there. Brenna is a short gnome (3ft 4in) with a black cat, a dagger, an org, and a book. Straelyn, a 7 ft tall Diva is there, and obviously intelligent with dark blue skin and solid silver eyes. Everyone is in plain clothes, but with some weapons, except for the Diva who is in Sunleaf. Delak Shieldsplinter, zelot of killing undead, large craghammer, plate armor, shiney armor, brown hair, articulate, and noble dwarf.

Getting on toward three bells after noon the party is gaining momentum. The hall is long, with the Coronal at the head table, great pillars support the roof and illusion magic is used throughout. At nine bells Arust is to receive his award. Lord Aramil, talks to Arust while in line about stuff and to meet at one bell before midnight. Also meet a Dragonborne female paladin of Shaundakul, named Adele(xynksput) with blue to silver scales. A human named Nerys of Cormyr, and of course Og is there.

Lord Greyspire, receives the posthumus award for an agent dying in service to the city in capture of a set of Zhent plans.

Brenna the Archeologist and Straelyn Master Runecrafter, receive award for discovery of an old crystal in the mythal.

Nerys saving a section of the woods. His companions die. Defender of the Shadow's Reach, a section of woods.

Axak, Genesai, honored for discovery of diplomatic task. Gets a house in the city.

Flick Brambleford, single-handedly holding a chokepoint in a castle during its defense long enough to allow reinforcements.

Dragonborne, defending then healing a church under attack. Now known as Feyfriend.

Then Arust is honored as Huntsman of Myth Drannor for trapping the bandits in their tower long enough for the watch to show up and arrest them all.

Delak Shieldsplinter, for cleansing the darkness in a spot, and is awarded the power and authority to hunt down evil undead. Paladin of Kelemvor.

Diplomat Og, for negotiating a peace between a human village and an orc clan on the edge of Myth Drannor land.

One hour before midnight, there is a banquet table with twelve chairs, and the one at the end Lord Aramil. Each seat has a plate of horde overs. Me, Arust, Ryvven, Delak, Flick, Straelyn, Brenna, Adele, Axak, Og, Nerys, Unnamed Eladrin.

Lord Amaril tells them the job is to work outside politics, and to use the information of the Coronol to take the battle to the enemies of Myth Drannor. Axak and Nerys don't think it sounds right, and say they will remain defending the city. They leave the room. Amaril continues. He's the spymaster of Myth Drannor and on the city's Council. There is discussion with him for a while, then he returns to the party. Once he is out the group continues to discuss for a while.

Then Arust hears commotion, as if people are vacating the main banquet room. He tells the assembled group and leads the way out into the hall. At the head of the hall, near the Coronal there is a great fight. He and Straelyn see a group of Eladrin with forked tongues leaving the hall amid the throng of other fleeing Eladrin. Thinking this is a ruse of some sort, they follow them into two rooms (guest rooms) down an ajoining hall.

Arust, Ryvven, Og, Adele and I head into one room, where a confused ordinary Eladrin followed the group of disguised snake men. Straelyn, Brenna, Flick, and Delak go into the other room. Each room has four of the intruder snake men. A short battle follows and when the last one in our room is about to fall, the former confused Eladrin morphs into the Sath'fiss'ith, the Sky Binder. This seems too much for us, so we vacate the room, get the Coronol and her guards as Og and Delak hold the door shut.

Upon returning we find the room empty except for the four lifeless headless bodies of the snake men.
