Synopsis:

A one shot, two night Cthulhu game, and another one that I cannot remember many details about. In general, the game involved the characters breaking into an asylum (for some reason) where they saw normal, crazy person things. What they didn't realise it at some point MiGo captured them and removed thier brains. They made copies of their brains, and put the copies into their skulls, and tossed thier actual brains into MiGo brain cannisters.

So on the second night everything started getting weird. People behaved strangely, cars all drove with their left blinker on, streetlights turned off whenever they walked by. In actuality this was all an illusion of the imperfect brain copies they had. Meanwhile they all had strage nightmares of only sound and conversation -- the nightmares were their actual brains, which were hooked up to receive sound, and speak through speakers, but not to receive visual input.

Eventually they made their way back to the asylum, found lots more evidence of strange and frightening brain experiments, and eventually discovered their own brains in cannisters.

Memorable Moment:

The most memorable moment of this game for me was the character played by Jon. They had broken into the asylum for the second time, and broke into the pharmacy to access the records on the computers, when they heard someone coming. It was a patient, slow and rather stupid, that they had met before -- only this time he had the top half of his skull cut off, and his brain flagged with dozens of little red flags. This was something they had seen before with dead primates.

The problem was, as soon as they heard something coming, they turned off their only flashlight (we had a flashlight prop). When they realized who it was, they kept the flashlight off, and ended up havinga conversation with the patient. Over the course of a five minute conversation Jon gradually realized something was horribly wrong, and in a memorable moment he realized what it was...

In slow motion, Jon turned on the flashlight and slowly raised it to the patient's head. On seeing what had happened, he turned the flashlight away, took a deep, deep breath, and screamed like a little girl.
